POWER BI REPORTING ANALYST

 

 

PURPOSE/ JOB SUMMARY 

The purpose of the Franchise Principal Report Developer role is the design, development, and implementation of on-going support of centralized reporting and its semantic layer for all areas of the business, across franchising, and to all levels of management.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES & DELIVERABLES 

  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for business data in support of business initiatives. Act as a liaison between data and business, understanding and being able to speak the terms of each.
  • Develop intelligent reporting solutions, including but not limited to dashboards and reports for franchise business line.
  • Study, analyze, and understand business requirements in context to business intelligence in order to develop solutions that meet franchisee and franchisor needs.
  • Analyze, design, deploy, troubleshoot, and support existing reporting suite.
  • Understand the different types of end user audiences to cater to each with relevant, easily accessible and consumable information.
  • Translating data into informative reports and visuals

 

ADDITIONAL/ SHARED RESPONSIBILITES

 

  • Manage franchise specific models if needed
  • Manage process to intake new data from outside sources (Outside Point of Sale Systems)

 

KEY SKILL & COMPETENCIES

 

Functional Skills & Expertise level required.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI Desktop and DAX queries.
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerBI Desktop and DAX Studio is preferred.
  • Proficient with SQL and Excel.
  • Strong in requirements gathering, solution design, development, quality assurance, business support, and maintenance of data related projects.

 Leadership (Management/ Behavioral) Skills & Expertise level required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability and the background of communicating with both technical and business users.
  • Interpersonal skills required, as co-worker will be working directly with franchise owners, no direct reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, etc.) or equivalent experience in a similar position.
  • Must be strong in development, support and maintenance of simple to complex BI reports in a fast-paced production environment.
