Acima is seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our team. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of technical projects from initiation to completion. This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and manage complex technical projects to include planning, executing and delivering projects within scope, timeline and budget constraints
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues and risks
  • Manage cross functional projects working with software engineers, product managers, data engineers, designers and other stakeholders
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders, team members and senior management
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams
  • Provide guidance and leadership to project team members
  • Work with product engineering teams to continually improve project processes and implement best practices to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally within a technical or software engineering environment
  • Experience in Agile software development (scrum, kanban, etc)
  • PMP or other project management certification is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
