This non-exempt role is the store's LEAD ASSISTANT MANAGER, reporting to the Store Manager. This role assists the Store Manager in overall store supervision and helps positively manage profit and store environment by following established policies and procedures. With that in mind, the Lead Assistant Manager's key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

Customer Service

· Communicating the value proposition to every customer.

· Partnering with the delivery specialists to manage the in-home delivery program for all new and existing customer delivery and/or pickup interactions.

· Providing friendly, timely, top-notch customer experiences through "white glove" service and with a servant's heart.

Sales

· Managing customer and revenue growth through omnichannel

· Keeping coworkers informed of promotions and products

· Greeting and assisting customers on the sales floor and over the phone

· Obtaining new rental orders and completing rental agreements as required

· Prospecting for new business during all customer-facing interactions, and by telemarketing and distributing print materials

Account Management

· Maintaining accurate records of customer account activity, to include current and past due accounts

· Reviewing past due accounts and communicating in person and via phone with the customers to promote timely payments

· Collecting customer payments on a timely basis and meeting daily/weekly collection standards

· Completing customer service calls in a timely manner as assigned

· Confirming autopay is correctly setup

· Following all policies and procedures and adhering to all standards

Store Supervision

· Assisting Store Manager with training and providing oversight in absence of Store Manager

· Assigning coworkers to specific duties and assisting with work schedule assignments

· Assisting in managing daily operations when necessary

· Assisting Store Manager in editing and approving weekly schedules

Field Activities

· Assisting as needed in loading/unloading truck, or other vehicle, per policy to safely protect coworkers, customers, and merchandise

· Assisting as needed in delivering merchandise in Company provided vehicle to customer homes

· Assisting as needed in installing and setting up merchandise, and instructing customers on proper use

· Assisting as needed in picking up merchandise from customer homes

· Following Company policies and practices regarding safe driving and adhering to local and state laws regarding safe operation of a motor vehicle

You Have: (Job Requirements)

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good reading, speaking, and listening skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and utilize problem solving skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 -- 3 years of retail/customer service experience (sales and collections experience is a plus) and/or demonstrated ability to perform all essential job functions at the Assistant Manager level
  • Valid state driver's license and good driving record

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Coworker to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Coworker is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Coworker must frequently lift and/or move (push/pull) heavy items and merchandise. All Coworkers are expected to adhere to all Company safety guidelines while meeting the physical demands of the job.

 

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours/days of work are Monday through Saturday, store open to close hours. Schedules and hours per week/overtime work may change throughout the year as dictated by management and business needs.
