Job Purpose: This position is responsible for planning and administering all human resources activities for Acima. This position manages all aspects of employee relations. Working with HR leadership, this role executes and implements Corporate HR strategies, initiatives, and programs.  Areas of focus include employee relations, performance management, and talent management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively provides strategic HR partnership to assigned client group (s) to achieve company goals
  • Provides consultation, guidance, coaching, and support to the management team as it relates to Company policies, new coworker on-boarding, performance management and talent training and development
  • Serving as internal consultant and change agent by analyzing current HR programs and recommending solutions
  • Facilitates resolution of coworker concerns, such as policy interpretation, code of conduct issues, workplace concerns and manager – coworker conflicts
  • Facilitates the internal promotions and transfers processes
  • Conducts new hire surveys, exit interviews, and provides analysis
  • Manages the off-boarding process including resignations and providing next steps to managers
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the company and acts as a role model for others
  • Works to continually improve all internal employment and employee relations processes, policies and practices to achieve a best-in-class human resources offering to all customers   
  • Works in direct coordination with Dallas-based headquarters to plan events and coworker engagement with Acima leadership
  • Act as Diversity and Inclusion liaison in conjunction with Corporate Diversity & Inclusion leadership
  • Provide reporting, analysis and data-based recommendations to improve coworker engagement and productivity
  • Present training sessions related to specific HR programs
  • Performs additional projects/duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • At least five years’ experience in Human Resources or related field required
  • Experience in Call Center or Retail industry
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate in a changing environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong presence and ability to interact with all levels of management
