Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for processing garnishments in an accurate and timely manner in order to comply with stated rules and regulations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Provides pro-active, timely and knowledgeable customer service to all coworkers on matters concerning payroll and garnishment payments   

·        Processes all garnishment orders including, but not limited to, child support, IRS levies, creditor garnishments, student loans and state tax levies – reconciles garnishment account(s) as directed

·        Researches and resolves inquiries from management and coworkers concerning payroll processes, garnishments, tax payments, etc.

·        Supports the function’s mission of meeting compliance, quality, quantity and confidentiality standards, ensures data security and systems protocols are adhered to and assists with routine project tasks as directed by management

·        Performs other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·        Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

·        One to three years progressive experience in payroll garnishment reporting and administration, multi-state and multi-unit experience preferred

·        Foundational knowledge of state and local payroll garnishment rules and regulations

·        Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills – strong attention to detail, analytical and possesses a proven results orientation

·        Proficient with Microsoft Office
